Dallas-bound! The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher and her season 12 winner, Jordan Rodgers, revealed during the After the Final Rose special on Monday, August 1, that they’re already moving in together.
The happy couple took the stage with Chris Harrison, who asked how close they are to tying the knot. The former NFL quarterback, 27, replied that they have been talking about getting hitched in 2017 and have even started discussing specific dates, although they plan to first “let the craziness settle down a little bit.”
In the meantime, they’re all set to cohabit, with Rodgers quipping that his bags were with him in the TV studio.
“We have a house in Dallas,” he said about Fletcher’s hometown. “We’re moving in right after this.” They pointed out that after finishing up press stops in New York City, they will be picking up Rodgers’ bed in Nashville and taking it to Texas.
The pair admitted that it was hard for them to be apart while the show was airing, and for them not be able to comfort each other. This was particularly true with rumors swirling about Rodgers, including his ex-girlfriend Brittany Farrar claiming he cheated on her, along with questions lingering about his frosty relationship with brother Aaron Rodgers.
“There’s been many nights that I’ve cried myself to sleep,” Fletcher, 25, told Harrison.
However, the pair are currently in a much better place emotionally, especially since they no longer have to remain apart.
“We’re going to continue to grow and love every single day,” Rodgers said.
Following the After the Final Rose, Rodgers posted an adorable Instagram message about Fletcher in which he declared: “I love you more than anything!”
“You are the most amazing woman on this planet, you are my best friend, and my rock,” he wrote in the post. “You are the best thing I wake up to in the morning and the last thing on my mind at night. Today is not the start of our love story, it’s the start of a new chapter. I have grown to love you more and more with every passing day. I loved reliving the greatest day of our life tonight.”
“You are my everything, and I’m so ready to marry you and do life with you!!” Rodgers added, referring to his “do life” quote from an earlier episode.
In the finale that aired on August 1, the aspiring sports broadcaster proposed to Fletcher, calling her his “best friend” and “soulmate.” Fletcher said goodbye to runner-up Robby Hayes just before the romantic moment.
