Alert! Kate Middleton wore a crop top to a garden party honoring the Queen’s 90th birthday on Monday, April 11.
The black and white Temperley London separates, which feature an intricate, symmetrical design, included a boxy, cropped shirt that, when paired with the form-fitting maxi skirt, showed off the Duchess of Cambridge’s tiny waistline. The Delphia Embroidered Silk-Organza Maxi Skirt retailed for $2,995 before selling out on net-a-porter.com, while the Delphia Cropped Embroidered Tulle Top is still available (albeit “in low stock”) for $1,525.
Along with the jaw-dropping ensemble, Middleton wore statement earrings and black sandals.
To complement her modern getup, the mother of George, 2, and Charlotte, 11 months, wore her hair in soft curls, swept up from her face in a half-up style.
Her husband, Prince William, also looked dapper for the occasion in a blue tailored suit paired with a red tie. Giving a speech at the event honoring Elizabeth II, he said, “I am incredibly lucky to have my grandmother in my life. … As she turns 90, she’s is a remarkably energetic and dedicated guiding force for her family.”
Cheekily, the Duke of Cambridge also said of the royal matriarch, “She may be my grandmother, but she is also very much the boss!” according to a reporter at the event.
