While visiting charities Magic Bus, the Door Step School and Childline later that day, the Duchess of Cambridge got sporty in a patterned midi frock by Mumbai designer Anita Dongre. "She really wanted to wear a local designer at the earliest possible opportunity as a tribute to Mumbai's wonderful design talent," a source close to the Duchess tells Us. "This dress is a perfect way to do that."
The mom of George, 2, and Charlotte, 11 months, attended a black tie gala, which raised funds for the three charities they'd visited during the day on April 10, in a cobalt Jenny Packham gown, which was hand-beaded in India. Middleton took a break from color for her first outfit on day two of the royal tour, Monday, April 11. She opted for a crisp white, knee-length frock by Emilia Wickstead with a nude clutch and matching Rupert Sanderson heels as she and Prince William tried their hand at cooking Indian food in Mumbai and paid their respects in the place where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in New Delhi.
Middleton rocked another bold pattern — this time in a crop top! — for a garden party honoring the Queen's 90th birthday in New Delhi later that day. Giving a speech at the festive event, Prince William said of Elizabeth II, "I am incredibly lucky to have my grandmother in my life…As she turns 90, she is a remarkably energetic and dedicated guiding force for her family."
While visiting a house for boys on April 12, in New Delhi, Middleton opted for the Glamorous Red Navy Boarder Print Lace Up Maxi, which retails for only $77.
The Duke and Duchess strolled with the Indian Prime Minister, Nerendra Modi, later that day during a lunch event. For the occasion, Middleton chose a calf-length seafoam green dress by Temperley London, complete with sheer sleeves and a Victorian-inspired high lace collar. She paired the ensemble with nude heels and a matching clutch (both by L.K.Bennett).
