First was paper, now it’s wood! Duchess Kate and Prince William are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary on Friday, April 29.
A source close to the couple tells Us Weekly that the duke, 33, and duchess, 34, plan on having a “low-key, private” celebration following their big trip to India and Bhutan earlier this month.
“They already feel like they’ve been celebrating,” the insider explains of the couple, who are currently at home at Anmer Hall.
The duchess is due to attend a lunch in support of the Anna Freud Centre and help open the Magic Garden children’s play area at Hampton Court Palace on May 4, giving the husband and wife ample time to plan a getaway though.
The college sweethearts married on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London after getting engaged in October 2010. Their nuptials marked the event of the year, and were televised and live-streamed — reaching a staggering total of 72 million viewers worldwide.
The duchess wore an unforgettable satin and lace Alexander McQueen gown to say “I do” to her prince.
The couple have since welcomed kids Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 11 months.
