Taking doggy dressing to another level! Homeless puppies at a no-kill El Dorado, Arkansas, animal shelter are getting another chance at adoption. Thanks to photographer Tammy Swarek, they get to show off their personalities in a brand-new way.
The Arkansas-based photog shot the Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS) pooches dressed up in gowns, suits and even flower crowns to reflect their unique styles and to appeal to potential forever-home families. “This is a project we started at our local animal shelter,” Swarek said via Facebook. “We are committed to creating portraits of every animal there. Adoption rates are skyrocketing on the photographed animals.”
Swarek’s desire is that the adorable photos spark more than just increased adoption rates. UCAPS depends on donations for animal food and medical supplies. “UCAPS is an unfunded no-kill shelter that can barely afford to feed once a day,” she explained to Us Weekly. “[I hope] the media attention would increase donations.”
