Music has pumped out some of the most notable style icons out there, namely, Stevie Nicks, Madonna and Lady Gaga, whose legacies will live long into the future.
“I picture [Stevie] and all I see is a wind machine,” VH1’s Carrie Keagan says of the 70s and 80s rocker, who let her bohemian locks fly in the unforgettable “Stand Back” video in 1983. “Her hair — big, wonderful — she was the epitome of rock and roll goddess.”
Adds Us Weekly Beauty Director Gwen Flamberg of Madonna — a.k.a. the Queen of Reinvention, who has gone from boy toy to dominatrix to Geisha to Marilyn Monroe to ethereal mama: “She pushed this ‘What does it mean to be a girl?'”

And then there’s Madonna’s heir apparent, Lady Gaga, who rocked a bubble-adorned leotard during her first major US tour in 2009, wore a dress made entirely out of meat at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and transformed into male alter ego Joe Calderone at the 2011 VMAs.
“Because, who can do that? Lady Gaga,” Keagan and Flamberg agree in unison.
