The 41-year-old mom of Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, wore a strapless champagne-colored Atelier Versace gown covered with Swarovski crystals, along with platform pumps by the brand. She topped the gown with a 16-carat platinum-and-diamond stud earrings by Robert Procop. A clean-shaven Pitt, 52, looked dashing in a black tuxedo and bow tie.
By the Sea is the last project that the couple, married for two years, worked on together. Production began shortly after they wed in 2014. “It was probably not the wisest way to spend a honeymoon. But then again, fighting to make something together,” Pitt told V Magazine in October 2015. “What better metaphor for marriage? It’s not a film that responds to the current zeitgeist or storytelling — rather a quiet, mature look at the challenges of love and adult loss.”
Those glamorous red carpet appearances are likely a thing of the past now. Robert Offer, an attorney for Jolie Pitt, confirmed the split to the Associated Press. “Offer said the decision to divorce was made ‘for the health of the family,’” the news outlet wrote in a September 20 story.
