She got it from her mama! Sailor Lee Brinkley Cook graces the inside of Seventeen‘s September issue, modeling a slew of fierce clothing from top designers.
With her hair tied up into a loose updo and a flawless complexion, Cook, 17, rocks everything from a light gray coat to tuxedo-inspired separates inside the teen mag. Each ensemble was designed by a grad from The New School’s Parsons School of Design, including the celeb-adored Prabal Gurung (his look is above).
In so many ways, the blonde beauty, whose dad is Peter Cook, is the spitting image of her supermodel mom, Christie Brinkley. They both have the same golden tresses, blue eyes, daintily arched brows, and wide, sparkling smile.
But of course, the similarities don’t stop there! The teen has been working on her own modeling career, which has included the covers of Bella and Hamptons magazine (shared with her gorgeous mom, natch).
Nevertheless, Cook’s road to modeling success hasn’t always been easy. According to Brinkley, when her daughter first started heading to modeling agencies, she instantly felt the pressure to be thinner and began losing weight. Thankfully, Cook caught herself before it went too far.
“She is so smart and so strong,” the mom of three said on The Meredith Vieira Show this past March. “I’ve said to each [of my kids], ‘Just use your brain because you are so smart. You know the answers. You are the one that’s going to take care of you. It’s that great brain of yours that’s going to keep you out of trouble,’ and she did.”
