She’s finally here! Britain’s newest princess, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, arrived after much anticipation on Saturday, May 2, at 8:34 a.m. local time, just two-and-a-half hours after the Duchess of Cambridge checked herself into the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.
If any royal has the potential to cause more of a fashion frenzy than Kate Middleton, it’s likely the newest royal baby. So in honor of her future status as a trendsetting tot, Us Weekly has gone (virtual) shopping for five adorable outfits that the Duchess of Cambridge should dress her up in — all from designers worn by big brother Prince George.
Scroll through the mini-me styles — we dare you not to gush.
Almost as sweet as Prince George’s sweater vest by the London clothing line for his Christmas 2014 portrait, the “Baby Dress Primrose” by Cath Kidston ($32, Cathkidston.com) boasts a cheerful print and embroidered ducks along the yoke.
Middleton turned to basics by Polarn O. Pyret for Prince George, so we’d love to see the new princess model the feminine take on the staple onesie via the “Best Basic Ruffle Neck Eco Bodysuit” ($25,Polarnopyretusa.com).
Perfect for a mommy-and-me outing, the princess can dress up in her own “Kate Uniform” (Breton shirt with navy bottoms) courtesy of the “Striped Top and Plain Bloomers Set” by Petit Bateau ($51, Petit-bateau.us).
Middleton loves a smocked look for Prince George (remember this adorable sailboat dungarees from the royals’ Australia tour?), so the Rachel Riley “Sailboat Smocked Dress” ($229, Rachelriley.com) should float its way into her daughter’s closet as well.
Prince George’s cozy baby blue knit from the family portrait caused an immediate uptick worldwide in namesake sweaters for tots. Thankfully the Corgi Hosiery “Personalised Cashmere Jumper” (185 GBP (About $286), Corgihosiery.co.uk) is available in pink as well.
