Va-va-voom times two! Blake Lively hit the Shallows premiere red carpet and afterparty on Tuesday, June 21, in two head-turning dresses. The film’s leading lady, 28, rocked a floral gown and sexy LBD that were just additions to her series of stylish maternity looks in New York City.
Lively, who’s expecting her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds, wore a Carolina Herrera frock with two contrasting textures. The dress’ shiny black leather bustier was paired with a white tulle skirt sprinkled with black petal embellishments. She styled her hair in a sleek ponytail and accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, including 20-carat diamond and black onyx studs and a statement emerald cocktail ring that complemented a matte black manicure that she showed off on Instagram.
“#TheShallows premiere… Here I go,” she captioned the June 21 shot, displaying her black and red Christian Louboutin clutch.

Later that evening, Lively went shorter (and fitted!) for the premiere afterparty. Her black turtleneck dress by David Koma had a shoulder cutout, an asymmetrical hem and an open side panel that showed plenty of thigh. And it’s a good thing she kept her ponytail from earlier in the evening: Her huge Ofira black and white diamond hoops deserved some shine.
Lively’s daring style is further proof that she’s not ashamed of her body. In fact, she addressed the controversy around her “Oakland booty” comment during an interview with Sway in the Morning on Tuesday, June 21.
“It’s something I was proud of. I never meant to offend anyone,” she said of her May 17 Instagram shot that showed off a curve-hugging Atelier Versace gown. She quoted Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” in her caption. “I was celebrating my body. … It’s nice to have a nice curve and not look like you’re starving to death.”
