No million-dollar rings for this couple! Mila Kunis revealed that she bought her and Ashton Kutcher’s wedding bands on Etsy for a total of $190. During her appearance on Conan on Wednesday, July 27, Conan O’Brien complimented the actress’ simple but chic ring. “It’s not showy,” the late-night host said. “It’s not, like, incredibly flashy, which I think is cool.”
The Bad Moms actress, 32, who tied the knot with Kutcher in July 2015, then launched into a surprising story about ring shopping. “I can’t believe that I’m telling anybody this story. So, my husband and I got married. This was a while ago. He got me a beautiful engagement ring, like stunning, stunning, stunning!” she said. “But for our wedding bands — for when we got married — I decided to just get them off Etsy. Our wedding bands are from Etsy.”
Although Kunis could easily afford a designer option, the homemade Etsy jewelry was exactly what she was looking for. “I wanted the thinnest possible platinum band. I mean, you can’t see it, but it’s super, superthin,” she said, holding up her hand for all to see. “I looked at how much Tiffany’s [cost] and I was like, ‘They’re how much? This is astronomical.’ So I went on Etsy and I was like, ‘$90?’ I was like, ‘Buy now!’ $90, everybody! Ashton’s was $100, so technically his wedding band was a little bit more expensive than mine.”
The That ’70s Show alum is occasionally seen sporting a gigantic diamond from her husband, but she prefers the subtle band. “My engagement ring is beautiful, but I don’t ever wear it,” she told O’Brien. “This ring, I’m like, $90. It’s great. That person on Etsy had no clue whose ring they were making but they were wonderful and very nice and polite and generous.”
The expectant mom also gave an update on her second pregnancy and said she’s much more laid-back with baby No. 2. “I feel really good,” she said. “With the first one, there were these apps where you could check daily to see the size of your baby based on fruit. So, ‘Oh, today my baby’s the size of guava, or a banana or avocado.’ And I did it, like, every day. I couldn’t even tell you how far along I am right now.”
The couple are already parents of 21-month-old daughter Wyatt, who Kunis called “really funny and incredibly bossy,” adding that “she’s very strong-willed.”
