Beware of the wind! Fringe is one of our favorite summer 2016 trends, it can amp up a bag, add oomph to a jacket and even give the red carpet a 1920s flair. But Lake Bell showed Us the dangers of the detail at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in L.A. on Sunday, September 11.
The Man Up actress, 37, whose show Childrens Hospital took home the Emmy for Short Form Comedy or Drama Series, dazzled in an elegant, body-hugging Naeem Khan gown that featured playful sheer paneling, intricate silver embroidery and sparkly fringe. Unfortunately, a gentle breeze hit the red carpet around the same time Bell did, pushing the trendy design element to the side and revealing her undergarments. But Bell handled the wardrobe malfunction like a champ, continuing to smile her way through the photo session.
The star-studded, two-day event was attended by Heidi Klum, Vanessa Hudgens and her Grease: Live costar Julianne Hough. Hough’s brother, Derek Hough, also made an appearance along with fellow Dancing With the Stars pro, Kym Johnson, who married her partner from the 2015 season, Robert Herjavec, on July 31.
On the red carpet the new Mrs. Herjavec told Us: “The ceremony was amazing. I was most nervous about that, but … it was just us two, exchanging our vows, and that was the most special moment.”
