Little Monsters, rejoice! Some eagle-eyed fans just noticed that Lady Gaga’s company, Ate My Heart Inc., filed a trademark in February 2018 for a new cosmetics brand called Haus Beauty, which means there is a very good chance a makeup line by the beauty-loving singer/songwriter is in the works. Try maintaining your poker face after hearing that news!
The Haus Beauty trademark covers cosmetics (think: foundations, blush, lipstick, lip gloss, eyeliner, eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer and nail polish), unisex fragrance and even skincare like cleansers, toners, scrubs, moisturizer, masks, wipes, sunscreen and more — basically everything you’d need to channel your inner Gaga.
There has been no official confirmation from the songstress as of yet, but it looks like the “Perfect Illusion” singer has been laying some Easter eggs on her Instagram feed about a potential new project — posting beauty-oriented pics without crediting a makeup artist and using hashtags like #haus, #hausofgaga and #hauseditorials.
While she’s been working with Marc Jacobs Beauty as of late on projects like her Super Bowl LI halftime show and the 2018 Grammys (her makeup artist Sarah Tanno is a brand ambassador), it should come as no surprise that she is at least considering following in the footsteps of celebs like Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez and launching her own thing.
Haus Beauty would be Mother Monster’s first makeup and skincare line of her own, but she has plenty of beauty industry cred. In addition to being a trendsetter with her own statement-making looks, she launched a dark floral fragrance in 2012 with Coty and also partnered with MAC Cosmetics in 2009 and 2010 to create lipsticks and glosses for the the brand’s charitable Viva Glam campaign.
With no launch date to report, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and maintaining a close eye on Gaga’s social media feeds for any more Haus Beauty hints she may drop!
