Katie Holmes, who usually opts for sleek, straight and structured ‘dos, went for a boho hairstyle on the red carpet while attending the IWC For the Love of Cinema dinner on April 14 in NYC.

The All We Had director, 37, went for a romantic low updo, parted in the center with plenty of volume at the crown and face-framing wavy tendrils. In the back, her tresses were pulled into a messy ponytail with a thick section of her strands wrapped around its base.

With such statement-making locks, she kept her makeup minimal, opting for a golden, smoldering eye rimmed with subtle black liner and a slight shimmer on her lips.

The adventurous style perfectly complemented her equally bohemian Chloe gown, a sheer lace maxi dress that showed off her lean legs.

At the dinner, the Dawson’s Creek alum chatted intimately with Judy Greer while waiting to take her seat at the front of the room, an observer told Us.

The event was also attended by Scott Eastwood, Robert DeNiro, Kate Mara and Karolina Kurkova.
