Accessorizing for an awesome cause.
Holly Robinson Peete is pairing with jewelry line Stella & Dot to launch the $19 Harmony Bracelet for National Autism Awareness Month in April. Starting April 1, all net proceeds of the bracelet will be donated to Peete’s HollyRod Foundation.
Peete established the HollyRod Foundation in 1997 with her husband, Rodney Peete, a former NFL quarterback, in honor of Holly’s father, who passed away from Parkinson’s disease. They expanded their focus after their eldest son, RJ, was diagnosed with autism in 1999. HollyRod is dedicated to providing “compassionate” care to children and families living with autism and Parkinson’s disease.

While she praises the developments and breakthroughs in the autism community since RJ was diagnosed in 1999, she feels that much more can be done.
“We were told he would never speak,” Peete, 51, exclusively tells Us Weekly. “But he’s 18 now, and he’s having conversations at the dinner table with us!”
For her fourth partnership with the brand, the gold-plated Harmony Bracelet (stelladot.com) features a series of colorful pavé stones. It has a navy-blue knot closure for adjustable length, and it fits small, medium and large wrists.
“I’ve always been a big fan of the line,” Peete, the star of OWN’s upcoming series, For Peete’s Sake, continues. “I wear them all the time, including our pieces from previous years! Such versatility. I can pair Stella & Dot with anything … a gown on a red carpet, a power suit for a business meeting, an audition outfit, and even with my cozy Carpool Couture with the kids!”
Aside from the jewelry that Peete gushes is “pretty cute,” the “amazing community of women” keep bringing Peete back to the brand.
“I always get lovely messages of support or shout-outs from their stylists and customers on Instagram or Twitter,” Peete explains. “They’re so invested in supporting the mission.”
