It’s all business —business casual that is. Supermodel besties Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner stepped out separately in NYC on Thursday, June 7, wearing their own version of put-together chic outfits for those days when one needs to look groomed and professional. But, of course, the larger-that-life ladies had their own unique takes on the daywear practice.
First, Gigi stepped out in a vertically-striped structured blazer. Think preppy but with a touch of edge. This topper added some visual interest to her all-black staples: namely leather stovepipe pants and a mockneck top. To complete the sleek and put-together look, Hadid swept back her hair in a low, loose bun, and added angular small-frame sunglasses, a suede pouch and pointed-toe patent booties. The effect: she looked all business with a California-girl cool vibe
Then, later in the day, Hadid stepped out once more to meet with the CEO of Unicef Caryl Stern and swapped her leather pants for the matching wide-leg slacks for her blazer. And in a snap, her look became just a touch less casual but still breezy and effortless.
Conversely, we have Jenner — the poster child for the comeback of Spandex shorts. The supermodel was spotted out and about in NYC wearing a pair of Spandex shorts and a cozy half-zip pullover that looked surprisingly chic and elevated thanks to her expert accessories additions. Her lineup: rounded black metal-frame sunglasses, a nylon Prada hobo and patent leather sock boots. In summation, it was a look that would have made Carrie Bradshaw proud.
