Smoky eyes are, of course, nothing new. Legions of starlets have rocked the sexy eye makeup before and it’s become a red carpet mainstay. But Olivia Wilde‘s interpretation of the look definitely warrants a doubletake — as well as its own how-to in Us Weekly‘s Copy That! beauty video series.
In the video above, Us Weekly Beauty Director Gwen Flamberg explains the 1-2-3’s of recreating Wilde’s smoky eyes. What makes her look modern is its use of a silvery-navy shadow, says Flamberg, instead of the more traditional brown palette.
