Here's yet another reason to fall completely in love with Chrissy Teigen! The supermodel and wife of John Legend, 29, gave her followers an up-close and personal view of one of her few body flaws.
"Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!" she captioned a shot on Instagram of herself sitting in a cross-legged position, wearing tiny denim shorts with her stretch marks on her upper thigh in full view on April 13.
Teigen's willingness to admit her flaws inspired many of her nearly 2 million followers. "Wow thank you for this, you've have boosted my self-esteem Love you @chrissyteigen #SouthAfrica," one grateful fan wrote in the comments.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue beauty has always been an advocate for positive self-images for years. She famously slammed Forever 21 after the fashion brand fired her from a campaign for being too "fat."
"They booked me directly when I was much younger and I showed up on set, they asked me if they could take a photo," Teigen told DuJour magazine in July 2014. "And they shot that photo off to my agency who then calls me as I'm sitting in the makeup chair and they say, 'You need to leave right now, they just said you are fat and you need to come get your measurements taken.'” Though now well off in her career, Teigen admitted to being hurt by the dig. "I hate you, Forever 21. I hate you so much,” she told the magazine. "Honestly, you are the worst.”
