The White Lotus

Anthology series The White Lotus is a biting social satire from director, writer and creator Mike White. The 10-time Emmy-winning series follows affluent vacationers at various White Lotus resorts as they navigate personal relationships and interact with resort staff — with escalating drama eventually leading to murder.

The first season, which premiered in July 2021, takes place in Hawaii with an ensemble cast including Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Connie Britton, Steve Zahn, Molly Shannon, Alexandra Daddario, Murray Bartlett and Jake Lacy. The highly anticipated second season in Italy kicked off in October 2022, and featured all-star cast members Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Will Sharpe, F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Adam DiMarco, Haley Lu Richardson and returning fan favorite Coolidge.

Both seasons begin with a mysterious death at the end of the vacation before flashing back to the beginning of the trip, indicating something darker lurking beneath the seemingly cheery employees, idyllic setting and the wealthy guests’ polished facade.
