John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have some pretty interesting Postmates habits!
According to a new holiday edition of The Receipt, a weekly series from the delivery app, Legend has placed orders in 27 different cities and from 212 different stores since joining Postmates in 2015. Overall, the Grammy winner has had more than 3,000 items delivered to him via a total of 657 separate orders.
One such order consisted of 25 bottles of A-1 Steak Sauce. While the condiment is a Legend family favorite, that specific request was actually a mistake on Teigen’s part, but hilarious nonetheless. “Chrissy insists on having A1 for her steak no matter how blasphemous that is to any steak people,” the “All of You” singer explained, noting his wife meant to order five bottles of A-1 in September 2017 but purchased five times that amount instead.
“Apparently if u put in ‘5’ under quantity on Postmates AND say ‘5 bottles!’ in the description, they … get you 25,” the Cravings author tweeted at the time. “I thought FIVE was a lot.”
Believe it or not, the Lip Sync Battle cohost isn’t the only member of her family with some strange orders, accidental or not. Legend has Postmated $700 worth of sushi, and once placed an order for a single pot pie from KFC. What’s more? Kale salads, spicy chicken sandwiches and Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey are his top-ordered items.
In addition to a penchant for steak sauce, the celebrity couple also has several sweet traditions involving food around the holidays. The husband and wife team have Postmated McDonald’s on Christmas Eve two years in a row, and like to shake things up the day before Thanksgiving each year by Postmating pho for dinner. “We are so used to traditional Thanksgiving meals, we just want to do something different for the day before” Legend explains. “It’s perfect.”
