Ina Garten may be the professional chef of her household, but there’s one thing her husband Jeffrey can prepare perfectly: A cup of coffee! The Barefoot Contessa host took to Instagram on Friday, December 21, to share a video of her husband hard at work in the kitchen.

“People always ask me, ‘Does Jeffrey cook for me,’ and I say the same thing every time – he makes really good coffee,” Garten, 70, began. “So here to show you how to make a perfect cup of coffee is Chef Jeffrey.” The Food Network star’s husband then appeared at her side clad in a chef’s hat and “Barefoot Contessa” apron and began the very complicated process of brewing the “perfect” caffeine boost.

So, what does it entail? For the Gartens, all you need to make a flawless cup of joe is a coffee maker filled with eight cups of water and a half cup of coffee grounds.

“You press the button, and you got it,” Jeffrey explained as his wife laughed. “My work is done.”

Added Garten, “That’s the best cup of coffee.”

This lesson, courtesy of Jeffrey, comes as the beloved couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, December 22. The Cook Like a Pro author captioned the sweet video, “But most of all, thank you Jeffrey for 50 years of laughter and good coffee!!! Happy Anniversary my love.”

Garten also shared several old photos of the couple taken over the course of their five-decade marriage. In one snapshot of the duo dressed in formalwear, Garten recalls the beginning of her cooking career. “Then there were the Washington, D.C. days, when we both worked in the government. We were very serious!!” she wrote in the caption. “This is when I taught myself how to cook from Julia Child’s books… the beginning of it all!”
