Oy with the poodles already! The Warner Brothers studio tour in Los Angeles is about to get an update Lorelai Gilmore would most definitely approve of. Starting on Saturday, December 22, the tour will include the option to feast on “holiday fare” at the fictional Stars Hollow residence Lorelei shared with her daughter, Rory. The mother-daughter duo were played by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, respectively.
The Gilmore-centric addendum to the traditional studio tour is available through January 6 and provides an in-depth look at Lorelai and Rory’s home. In fact, it even allows fans to eat and “enjoy recreated scenes from Gilmore Girls with authentic props and costumes on display at the original Lorelai’s house set and see the iconic gazebo,” according to Warner Brothers.
The set of the iconic home and gazebo was used in both the Gilmore Girls TV series, which aired from 2000 to 2007, and in the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which premiered in 2016.
Per a description of this new portion of the tour, which guests can amble through at their own pace once the formal sightseeing journey has concluded, “original costumes from the show will be on display as well as Lorelai’s redecorated house for photo-ops.” Photo-ops in the Stars Hollow gazebo will also be permitted.
And even though the holiday eats didn’t come from Luke’s Diner, the choices sound delicious nonetheless. Options include oven-roasted turkey breast with cranberry-shallot sauce, lemon garlic roasted chicken, veggie burgers, fries, homestyle macaroni salad, garlic buttered corn and salads.
