Once a Raven, always a Raven! Stars of One Tree Hill must have warmed up their vocals before reuniting for the show’s annual fan convention in Wilmington, North Carolina, over the weekend.
The nostalgia-filled event, now in its second year, included Q&A sessions, meet-and-greets and a trolley ride around the city, where the beloved series was filmed. Perhaps the biggest highlight, though, was when the group, including Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, belted out the show’s theme song, Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want To Be.”
Some other cast members that showed up for the special weekend included Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James Scott) and Shantel VanSanten (Quinn James). Two main stars notably absent were Sophia Bush (Brooke Davis) and James Lafferty (Nathan Scott).
VanSanten, 31, took several photos with her former costars. “I MADE IT!@inside_oth Sisterly love with the beautiful @joylenz xoxox,” she captioned an Instagram pic with Lenz. She added of Burton: “Good morning sunshines! We are ready for a #sundayfunday are you?? #oth #quinnton.”
VanSanten squeezed in some time with Paul Johansson (Dan Scott), Lee Norris (Marvin “Mouth” McFadden) and Antwon Tanner (Antwon “Skills” Taylor), too. “Let’s hear it for the boys!” she quipped in a montage post.
Fans were also able to track each actor’s every move on the event’s official Instagram account. “We cherish this family. And we know you do as well,” staff of the convention posted on Sunday. “We want to thank everyone for coming to our reunion. You truly made it magical for the cast as well as the producing team who puts on this event.”
Murray, who left the series with Burton in season 6, even painted artwork for some lucky fans. “Spent the last 6 hours painting this for the silent auction this Sunday 9am start at @inside_oth convention in Wilmington,” he captioned an Instagram photo of the final product.
“I laugh coz it looks like I just made a stamp! Haha. It’s not though… I hope Someone will have this hanging in their bedroom Monday night and enjoy the heck out of it! #treehillravens #oth #lucasscott #insideoth.”
One Tree Hill ran for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012. Last August, fans went just as nuts when Bush, Lenz and more shared pics of a private reunion they had at an L.A. bar.
