See the Idol Performance Jennifer Lopez Declared “Out of This World”

Wednesday night was ladies' night on American Idol and if the early performances are any indication, a female might just take season 10's title.

Though the 90-minute Top 12 round began with a handful of lackluster routines, things started looking up when Thia Magia, Lauren Alaina and Pia Toscano hit the stage.

While Magia and Alaina earned high praise for "Out Here On My Own" from Fame and Reba McEntire's "Turn on the Radio," respectively — judge Randy Jackson even compared Alaina to Kelly Clarkson — it was Toscano who really blew the panel away.

The 21-year-old Toscano's soulful rendition of the Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You" earned the show's first standing ovation of the season from Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

"I've been here 10 seasons and we've had some amazing performances on here, but you just put yourself in the top with that performance. That was unbelievable — that's how you do it," Jackson told Toscano.

But it was Lopez who doled out the most kudos.

"Pia, I knew that you were a standout, but honestly, I feel like you were a little tricky. You were saving that for when it counts. It was out of this world!" the judge told Toscano.
