Leading man! Scott Eastwood is one hunky movie star in the new trailer for his upcoming movie The Longest Ride.
The preview, which debuted on Thursday, Feb. 12, offers the latest look at the adaptation of Nicholas Sparks‘ 2013 novel The Longest Ride. Eastwood, 28, stars in the romantic drama opposite Britt Robertson (Cake).
Following in his famous father’s footsteps, Eastwood plays the male lead, a dreamy cowboy and former bull rider named Luke Collins who captures the heart of a young student.
Rocking a cowboy hat and hanging around a barn, Luke opens the trailer with his love interest Sophia Danko. The two are shown getting scandalously close as Luke considers a bull riding comeback and Sophia looks to her future in college.
Amidst scenes of a shirtless Eastwood and intimate moments between the two, Luke and Sophia’s lives become intertwined with those of an older couple who had a similar love story.
Due out in April, The Longest Ride is one of Eastwood’s biggest roles since he began acting in 2006. The son of Clint Eastwood and Jacelyn Allen Reeves, the star also appeared in Flags of Our Fathers, Gran Torino, and Fury. His costar Robertson, 24, previously made appearances in episodes of Life Unexpected, The Secret Circle, and Under the Dome.
