Pretty Little Liars Season Finale: Aria Wonders Who Kidnapped Ezra’s Son

Aria Montgomery is used to being kept in the dark, but after her boyfriend’s 7-year-old son was temporarily kidnapped in the March 12 episode of Pretty Little Liars, the high school senior needed some enlightenment.

In a sneak peek from the third season finale of the ABC Family hit, Aria (Lucy Hale) tells her BFFs Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) about what happened with Ezra Fitzgerald’s (Ian Harding) little boy Malcom. While posting babysitting fliers around school on Ezra’s behalf, Aria says, “[Malcom] just said [his kidnapper] was a friend of mine and her name was Alison.”

“You have to talk to him,” Hanna implores. “Find out more.”

Aria immediately dismisses the idea, explaining, “Guys, no. We are not using Malcom to get to Mona. The last time I saw Ezra I could hardly face him.”

Hanna doesn’t back down and explains that all Aria needs to do is show Malcom a picture of Mona, a member of the villainous A-Team. “He’ll confirm that Mona took him and the cops will take her loo-loo head back to the nut farm,” she says.

Forgetting that Spencer was recently institutionalized, Hanna apologizes. “I don’t know,” an unruffled Spencer says. “It seems like a really bold move for Mona to risk being seen like that . . . it feels desperate, like maybe she’s trying to get caught.”

Aria tries to settle the matter once and for all, telling her pals, “Malcom is off limits.”

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday, March 19, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
