Swoon! Nick Jonas showed off his acting chops — and his sizable biceps — in a skit on Saturday Night Live opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Saturday, April 16.
The former Jonas Brothers crooner, 23, who was the show’s musical guest, makes a surprise appearance at the end of the sketch, which features Louis-Dreyfus, 55, as a housewife who’s breaking off her affair with the family’s pool boy, Chad, played by cast member Pete Davidson, 22.
Upon returning home from running errands, Louis-Dreyfus calls Davidson-as-Chad into the kitchen, where he begins to kiss her passionately.
“No, no. Chad, we can’t do this anymore,” she says.
“Oh, OK,” Chad says simply.
“I couldn’t sleep last night,” Louis-Dreyfus’ character continues.
“Oh, I hate that,” Chad replies, failing to get her point.
No matter how much Louis-Dreyfus tries to play up their dramatic farewell, however, Chad continues to nonchalantly brush off the breakup, even pointing out a drowned squirrel in the pool as Louis-Dreyfus continues on her soliloquy.
Only later, while gazing wistfully off into the distance, does the PTA mom notice Jonas’ character, muscly landscaper Toby. In real life, Jonas has been involved in an on-off romance with Kate Hudson, 36, who is 13 years his senior.
