Narrowing it down! With the end in sight for Ben Higgins‘ run on The Bachelor, a source has confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly that producers plan to select one of his final four season 20 women to star as season 12’s Bachelorette.
Higgins’ four final women were Lauren Bushnell and Jojo Fletcher, who are both still in contention for his final rose, along with castoffs Amanda Stanton and Caila Quinn. Higgins sent single mom Stanton home on the February 22 episode after she took him to her hometown of Orange County, California, while Quinn got the boot in Jamaica prior to the rose ceremony in the Monday, February 29, installment.
Getting sent home as the second runner-up — as Quinn was this week — is often a good departure spot for those seeking another chance at love on the long-running ABC dating franchise. Last season’s Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe, was Chris Soules‘ second runner-up on season 19, and the year prior, season 10 Bachelorette Andi Dorfman was Juan Pablo Galavis‘ second runner-up, although she left voluntarily.
Chris Harrison recently told reporters during a conference call that he “would love” for die-hard Bachelor fan Kaley Cuoco to be the next Bachelorette, although he acknowledged that celebrities’ rapidly fluctuating love lives make it difficult to pick a previously established public figure.
Tell Us: Who should be the next Bachelorette?
The Bachelor airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
