She’s all grown up! Ariana Grande performed a sultry, jazzy rendition of her song “Dangerous Woman” at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards in Burbank, California, on Saturday, April 9.
The singer, 22, channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe in a long, neon-pink dress, complete with a blinged-out diamond necklace and a white fur shawl for the performance, which aired on MTV on Sunday, April 10. She sang the tune alongside Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown, who accompanied her on a piano scrawled with the track’s name on it.
Grande effortlessly hit every note as she belted the lyrics to “Dangerous Woman,” which is the first single from her upcoming album of the same name.
After taping the performance on Saturday night, she took to Instagram with a series of photos from the awards show. “#DangerousWoman accompanied by my friend, the 1 & only Jason Robert Brown,” she captioned one of the glamorous shots.
The “Be Alright” crooner — who recently nailed impersonations of Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and Rihanna during a skit on Saturday Night Live — also notably ditched her signature ponytail for a more natural ‘do, similar to the one she rocked in the song’s music video.
