Miley Cyrus: singer, actress, mathematician? The “We Can’t Stop” hit maker and fellow Voice season 11 coaches Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton might not always see eye to eye when it comes to fighting for contestants on stage, but they all have one thing in common: They’re just like Us! While on set of the NBC series, the four megastars show their relatable sides, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip.
They get intimidated!
While sitting in the judge’s chair, Shelton, 40, asks Keys, “Are you trying to intimidate me?” She quickly replies, “Are you intimidated?” The “Came Here to Forget” singer smiles and replies with an honest “I don’t know yet.”
Although she’s a newcomer to the Voice coaches panel, the 15-time Grammy winner isn’t shy about discussing her skill set. “I have so much better advice than you,” she says to Shelton. “I just feel it.” Shelton tries to defend himself by telling Keys that that his advice is “so much more relevant.”
They’re good at math!
While trying to woo a contestant away from the other judges, Levine, 37, gets schooled by Cyrus. “I know how to win this show,” the Maroon 5 frontman says to a contestant. “I’ve won three times.” Cyrus, 23, is clearly not impressed as she calculates Levine’s winning percentage. “You’ve won three times?” She asks him. “We’re on the 11th season. It’s basic math.” Levine, who has been a judge on the show since the 2011 premiere, confidently says: “Three out of 10 is 30 percent; I’ll take it.” Shelton, who has won four times on the show, quips: “She’s so right. I’m so happy right now.”
They hitch a ride!
Just going for a spin? Levine jumps onto Shelton’s chair and encourages him to turn by yelling, “Do it!” After he knocks into another chair and falls off, Cyrus notes, “That is funny as hell.” Levine jokes: “I’ve got catlike reflexes.”
They’re crafty!
Cyrus, who’s known for her creative style on and off the stage, asks the other coaches if she can bring her own water cup to set. “This one is boring,” she says. “I want, like, a rainbow cup.” Levine quickly shuts her down, saying, “No, no, no.” However, Keys and Shelton encourage her idea. Keys, 35, says, “I think you should bring your own cup,” while Shelton offers: “Bedazzle it.”
While the “Sugar” singer opposes the idea of Cyrus bringing her own cup, he is on board with her decorating the one she already has: “You should put some s–t on that cup, though.” Cyrus agrees with the suggestion. “Yeah,” she says. “I want to bejewel it.”
They have a side job!
“Your driver’s here,” Shelton jokes to a contestant, mocking Levine’s black-and-white suit. “He’s here for your luggage and he’s ready to take you wherever you’re going.” Levine took the joke as an opportunity to persuade the contestant on stage. “I am ready,” he says. “To drive her all the way to the top!”
They break it down!
In the clip above, Cyrus and Keys show off their best moves — the moonwalk and can-can included.
Watch the hilarious moments.
