Mike Catherwood is sad that he was the first contestant eliminated from Dancing with the Stars this season — but not that sad, to be honest.
"I'm a little bummed, a little disappointed," the radio DJ, 32, told UsMagazine.com after Tuesday's results show.
But, admitted the muscle-bound star: "I am thrilled I don't have to dance anymore!"
Added "Psycho Mike," who garnered the lowest combined scores (30 out of 60 possible points) for his first and second week routines with pro partner Lacey Schwimmer: "I'll never dance again in my life, let me say that now – unless they invite me back for some comedy reason. Or for the finale. But in my personal life I will never dance again!"
One positive note? "I do appreciate dancing more now," Catherwood said. "I have a tremendous personal appreciation for the art of dance that I never had before. I used to sit through performances . . . and I would either turn the channel or be playing Angry Birds. . . I've developed a reverence for dance that I'll take with me the rest of my life. But you won't see me on your local dance floor anytime soon!"
Catherwood shot down talk that he's being considered as Regis Philbin's replacement on Live! with Regis and Kelly, where's he served as a guest host.
"They've been nice enough to invite me back [as guest host], but I can't tell you any firm ideas about what will happen in my career next. This sounds so cheesy and cliche, but I'm just so grateful for all of this," he gushes.
"If you were to talk to 20 year old Mike, he wouldn't have even been confident he'd have a job, let alone something like this. I'm incredibly grateful and none of this is lost on me. I don't walk away from DWTS with any regrets."
