Meet the Cast of Glee!

As FOX's Glee airs its season premiere Wednesday, Sept. 9, Usmagazine.com sat down with cast members Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale to find out what's in store after last summer's pilot episode.

"In the first episode you [got] to know my character, Finn, a little bit. He starts out being blackmailed into the glee club and discovering he really loves performing and found a voice for himself there," Monteith tells Us. "He’s trying to walk the fine line between being the quarterback for the football team and joining the glee club."

Monteith's Finn also has to walk the line with his love interest, Rachel, played by Spring Awakening's Michele.

"Rachel really likes Finn. I don’t know yet about how Finn feels," Michele reveals. "We need 12 members in order to make it two sectionals and I think at this point now with Finn joining we have seven. But he has a girlfriend, so we’ll see what Rachel will do to get him."

Also in episode two, the cast says fans can expect more of the high-energy musical numbers the show is known for, including a cover of Kayne West's "Gold Digger," with a rap sequence by Morrison.

"The biggest fear about doing a Kanye West song was getting the, kind of, roughness and grit in my voice. I mostly do musical theatre — I’m a song and dance man — and it sounds so ridiculous, I’m so white," Morrison jokes to Us.

How do Morrison's vocals rate?

"Matt is a wonderful rapper," Colfer, who plays Kurt, says. "I could never rap, personally. I can’t even wrap presents, so I’m not even going to try to rap musically, 'cause it would it would be horrible. I would be like “yo, yo, yo, with a bottle of rum. Pirates drink that ‘cuz they were dumb.”
