Luke Bryan is getting ready to “Kick the Dust Up” at the 2015 CMT Music Awards. The country crooner is set to take the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 10, to perform the lead single from his upcoming album, Kill the Lights — and as he teased to Us Weekly during rehearsals, fans are in for a treat.
“We’re comin’ out with ‘Kick the Dust Up’ — first time we’ve gotten the chance to perform this on a big awards show, so we’re excited,” the “Crash My Party” singer shared. “It’s gonna be a fun night.”
Bryan didn’t elaborate too much more, but he did say that viewers should expect “a lot of smoke, a lot of lights. It’s gonna be crazy.”
The craziest moments of the night may never make it to air, though — at least according to Bryan’s pal Jason Aldean. “What you see on TV isn’t necessarily what goes on backstage,” the “Just Gettin’ Started” hitmaker told Us. “The dressing room — that’s where the funnest part of the show is.”
Us also chatted with Brittany Snow, Erin Andrews, and Jake Owen about the big event. Watch the video above to see what they said, and tune in to the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 10, at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.
