A perfect reunion! Long Lost Family‘s Sunday, March 27, episode features a reformed father breaking down after reading a letter from his biological daughter, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
In the TLC series’ episode, Jon is searching for his daughter, who was conceived 31 years ago during a one-night stand. After the mom’s family opted for adoption, Jon experienced some tough setbacks, including battling addiction and surviving a 2004 truck accident that left him partially paralyzed. He is now sober and hoping to be a part of his child’s life.
“Oh, my God — she’s so beautiful,” Jon says after seeing a photo of her for the first time. “I see myself. She looks just like me.”
He then reads a letter that she has written to him. In the note, his daughter tells him that she wants to meet him, even though she knows that she herself is not perfect.
“I want to meet her so bad, it’s not even funny,” Jon says tearfully. He adds, “You are perfect, baby. You are perfect.”
