Though Leah Messer has gone to a rehab treatment facility, her life certainly hasn’t stopped. In the exclusive sneak peek clip from the Thursday, Sept. 17, episode of Teen Mom 2, Leah calls her mom to tell her about finalizing her divorce from her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, over the phone.
“I had court. I had to go, like, talk on the phone,” Leah explains. “But our divorce is final. With Jeremy and I, just like, something just didn’t feel right. And I stayed because I didn’t want the embarrassment of another divorce. But you know what, I’m letting it go.”
Though she sounds somber, the West Virginia native didn’t sound like she was crying, a welcome change from her past few emotional episodes. In fact, it sounds like she was improving.
“I’m really getting a lot figured out here,” Leah tells her mom. “I’m learning so many coping skills. I’m actually glad I did this. Maybe the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Leah, 23, entered rehab back in June for a monthlong program after rumors of pill abuse swarmed around her. But on Teen Mom 2, the reality star insisted she was going for an intensive therapy, despite the claims from her ex Corey Simms.
