What happens when you let The Hills’ Justin Bobby Brescia cut your hair? Well, considering “truth and time tells all,” Us Weekly editor Rachel McRady decided to let the former reality TV bad boy show off his styling skills on her tresses in a new exclusive video.
It turns out, Audrina Patridge’s former love, 33, was a hairdresser long before he stepped in front of a camera. Brescia has been cutting hair since age 14 and used to style Adam Levine’s hair.
“It’s cool. We have similar attitudes, you know, musician/musician kind of thing,” Brescia tells Us of cutting The Voice coach’s dark locks.
Now that’s he’s had several years away from reality TV, the California native has moved to New York to focus on his passions: music and cutting hair. He formed the two-man band Bobby Rock with his pal Dave Dariani, and the group recently returned from performing at Austin, Texas’ SXSW Festival.
But that doesn’t mean he’s neglecting his hair clients. After opening stores in Manhattan Beach, Calif. and even in Nicaragua, where he briefly lived, Brescia’s latest “hair chair” is located right in his Manhattan loft, where he also sells his Brush Your Hair hair products.
In fact, the first scene he shot for The Hills was of him cutting Patridge’s hair, but the footage never aired. Consider this your deleted scene. As for the big question: Did the label-hating Brescia ever actually date Patridge?
“There were some points,” he admitted. “We worked so much together for such a long time that we’d work all these hours and then we’d go have dinner and do things together, but our schedules kind of collided.”
