Son of a nutcracker! John Krasinski pranked his longtime buddy and neighbor Jimmy Kimmel once again this holiday season — even though it wasn’t his turn. The Office alum showed how he escalated their prank war during Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, December 15.
As tradition goes, Krasinski, 36, and the late-night host, 48, alternate each year who gets to surprise the other. This time, however, Emily Blunt‘s husband stole Kimmel’s turn and created several gimmicks throughout the week.
“This is my greatest joy with the prank this year. That we alternate and I robbed you of the joy,” Krasinski joked. “And when I did the prank I remember seeing your eyes like, ‘That’s really funny! I hate you.'”
So, what did he have in store for Kimmel? Krasinski hired a Santa Claus — wearing just a coat and underwear — to scale Kimmel’s office window, and sent a reindeer into his room.
“It crapped all over my bathroom,” Kimmel said, laughing.
Krasinski didn’t stop there, though. He also decorated Kimmel’s office like the North Pole and dressed up as a nutcracker.
