Can’t see the forest for the trees? Jinger Duggar‘s relatives notice that she isn’t exactly paying close attention to the group’s activities in Counting On‘s Tuesday, September 6, episode, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The TLC unscripted series’ preview clip shows Jinger texting with beau Jeremy Vuolo on her family camping trip while the rest of the brood is learning how to make a debris hut in case of emergency. (The pair got engaged on a New York City rooftop on July 25 after a brief courtship.)
“I don’t think I’m driving people nuts with it,” Jinger, 22, tells the camera about her distracted focus. “I just think it’s, when you’re in love, everybody knows about it. I think everybody will understand when they get to that place themselves.”
As it turns out, she might be underestimating the degree to which she’s impacting the trip for her siblings. Indeed, Josiah says to the camera, “All my siblings, when they’re interested in somebody, they’re just like, ‘Whoa!’ They can’t think — they can’t concentrate.”
“Sometimes you feel like just breaking their phone — like, ‘OK, let’s put it away for a while. Let’s put them in the back of your mind,'” Josiah, 20, continues. “That never works, but you realize everybody’s going to go through this phase of life, so just deal with it, since everybody else is going to have to deal with you someday.”
