Then comes marriage! After Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard tied the knot last summer, settling into married life wasn’t completely seamless — as featured in this week’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting.
In a new exclusive clip revealed by Us Weekly, the reality stars — who memorably shared their first kiss at the altar last June — adjust to their lives as a 2-unit family as opposed to Duggar’s 20-plus brood.
In the clip, the newlyweds gush about married life as “excellent” and “awesome,” according to Duggar, 23. “She’s my best friend, so we love being married,” Dillard, 25, notes as he and his wife pause mid-sentence to kiss.
There are, however, several lifestyle changes that need to be made for the couple, particularly Duggar. “There are some differences between the Duggar house and the Dillard house,” the newly minted wife notes. “It’s quieter at our house.”
While preparing meals for her husband, she also ends up cooking for 20, rather than two.
Watch how the future parents deal with the disparities in the cute clip above! Tune in to the premiere of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9 p.m. ET.
