Time for little ones? Bachelor in Paradise newlyweds Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert reveal exclusively to Us Weekly Video how soon they plan to start a family — and why Tolbert has a flexible stipulation regarding the number of kids he wants to have. Watch the interview in the video above!
The adorable twosome — who appear on the upcoming season of We TV’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars — are currently building their dream home in Kansas City, Missouri, and they tell Us that when it’s done, they’ll be ready to add a few youngsters to the mix. (The couple tied the knot in January after falling in love on ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise season 2.)
“We’re building a house right now,” Tolbert, 29, says. “It’s going to be done in the spring, so we’ll have to start filling it up after that.”
Adds Roper, 29, about starting their brood, “I’ve been whispering in Tanner’s ear, trying to just feel it out, put it out there.” Her husband agrees that it’s only a matter of time before they’re a family of three: “I bet you something maybe next year.”
So how many tykes are we talking? “I joke around and say two and a half,” Tolbert quips. “So if they’re both girls, I want to try for No. 3 for a little boy.” And the makeup maven chimes in, “I’m hoping the first one’s a boy, and after that, the pressure’s off.”
Check out the video above to hear the pair discuss why they need to “fight better,” their feelings about Nick Viall as the Bachelor, and whether they think Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton will last as a couple.
Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars premieres on We TV Friday, October 7, at 9 p.m. ET. The Bachelor returns to ABC in January 2017.
