Heidi Montag has long been ready for motherhood, and she’ll do just about anything to convince her husband, Spencer Pratt, that the time is right now. The Hills alum’s latest effort: Signing up for WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp in hopes that hubby sees it her way.
Seeking marriage counseling from MBC directors Jim and Elizabeth Carroll, Montag, 28, wants her husband of six years, 31, to trade partying for playdates. “I’m ready to have children and Spencer’s acting like a child,” she admits in a preview clip of the season premiere. Spencer, for his part, doesn’t seem willing to change his ways. “I’m baby blocking!” he explains with a hint of pride.
Having filmed their elopement for a 2009 episode of The Hills, the couple aren’t shy about documenting their relationship on reality TV. Marriage Boot Camp comes six months after the duo swapped lives with Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard and her husband Sacha Brown on Celebrity Wife Swap, and five years after they were trapped together in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity . . . Get Me out of Here! Currently living with Pratt’s parents, the pair also used stints on Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side to help pay their bills.
Premiering on WE tv Friday, Jan. 9, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars will also include Bad Girls Club‘s Natalie Nunn and her husband Jacob Payne, Survivor: Blood vs. Water‘s Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger, and R&B Divas‘ Syleena Johnson and her husband Kiwane Garris.
