Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda… and Heather! Twelve years ago, during the fifth season of Sex and the City, Heather Graham made an appearance on the beloved HBO show, starring as none other than Heather Graham.
"That's my favorite TV show of all time," she told Cosmopolitan.com on Monday, Oct. 27. "I'm so excited that I got to be on it."
Graham, 44, appeared in a mid-season episode called "Critical Condition," starring as herself and the friend of a woman named Nina Katz. When meeting Carrie Bradshaw (famously played by Sarah Jessica Parker), Nina Katz tells Carrie that they share an ex-boyfriend Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) and makes a face to imply the damage that Carrie did to him.
The Californication star told Cosmopolitan.com that she got the job through her good friend Nadia Dajani, who played Nina Katz, or as Graham called her, simply "the face."
"Nadia was good friends with [SATC creator] Michael Patrick King, and I would say that I loved Sarah Jessica Parker," she explained. In her episode, Graham has a quick interaction with Parker, before going off with Carrie's best friend Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson).
The speedy encounter continued offscreen, however, as Graham got some quality time with Parker, now 49, when the cameras weren't rolling.
"After I worked on the show, we talked about wearing high heels and how they're so uncomfortable — and she gave me a coupon to get a foot massage," Graham told Cosmo of Parker. "That's what a nice person she is. I'm like, 'High heels are uncomfortable' — and as a gift when I finished the show, she gave me a coupon for a foot massage. Isn't that sweet?"
