Goldie Hawn is anything but timid!
During her appearance as a guest co-host on Anderson Live September 24, the 66-year-old Private Benjamin star was asked to weigh in on whether pole dancing classes designed for children is inappropriate. (A dance studio in British Columbia is offering the program to kids as young as 5.)
Explaining that her own daughter, Kate Hudson, 33, took pole dancing “classes years ago,” Hawn revealed that the Something Borrowed actress once had a stripper pole installed in her bathroom.
“She had it for a while and I played on it as well,” Hawn admitted. “First of all, there is nothing more fun than swinging around a pole. I tried it, and it was the hardest thing . . . to try to get yourself on this pole. There was no sexual connotation to it whatsoever.”
Though it can be fun for adults, and “physical activity for children is great,” Hawn said she believes the classes in question should be rebranded and desexualized “because it’s not what we are doing with our kids.”
