Ginnifer Goodwin makes a good Jackie O! On Thursday, June 13, National Geographic Channel released the first picture of the Once Upon a Time actress portraying First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on the set of Killing Kennedy.
The portrait photo shows Goodwin, 35, looking nearly identical to the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, styling her iconic short dark hair. On Wednesday, National Geographic Channel released the first look photo of Rob Lowe portraying President John F. Kennedy in the film, which began production this week in Richmond, Va.
On June 11, Lowe, 49, tweeted, "Just saw Ginnifer Goodwin as Jackie Kennedy in the sad and awful blood-stained dress. Extremely emotional."
The two-hour docudrama, based on Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's best-selling book, chronicles the final years of Kennedy and his assassin Lee Harvey Oswald (Will Rothhaar) before their deaths in November 1963.
Michelle Trachtenberg is playing Oswald's wife, Marina Oswald Porter. "I am so excited for the challenge to portray Marina Oswald, and to do my first role speaking only in Russian," the 27-year-old Gossip Girl star told Us Weekly in May. "I'm the only actor playing someone who is still alive, so I want to stay as true to her as possible."
