LeBlanc, 48, shared an Instagram photo of himself on Friday, June 24, with the Bridget Jones’s Baby star, 50, hanging out in a car on the set of Top Gear, which the former Friends star now cohosts.

“Look who showed up at @topgear yesterday to drive the rally car. @patrickdempsey Good to see you buddy,” the Joey alum captioned the snapshot.

LeBlanc formerly portrayed actor Joey Tribbiani, who had a role as soap opera doctor Drake Ramoray, on the long-running NBC sitcom, which left the air in 2004 after 10 seasons. Dempsey rose to fame as the brilliant neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd, a.k.a. McDreamy, on ABC’s medical drama. He left the hit series in 2015 after 11 seasons, when his character died in a tragic car accident.

Prior to Dempsey’s exit from Grey’s Anatomy, the actor — who is also a race-car driver — had focused much of his free time on the racetrack. In the 2013 miniseries Racing Le Mans, Dempsey said that he wanted to be behind the wheel full-time. He also said while promoting the documentary that acting didn’t give him the same rush racing does.

“Work on a TV show doesn’t change,” he told Today.com at the time. “In a race, it changes constantly, every lap, every corner, every moment of that day. And that’s very exciting. It keeps me alive.”

LeBlanc also shares a passion for vehicles. “Anything with an engine in it, pretty much, I’ve been a fan of since I was a kid,” the actor told Vulture in May, ahead of his debut as a Top Gear host.

Top Gear airs on the BBC Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
