Even celebs have dream jobs! Us Weekly Video was on the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday, September 18, and we asked Sophie Turner, Gaby Hoffmann, Shiri Appleby and more small-screen stars to reveal their dream TV roles. Watch what they told Us in the video above!
Amid the 90-plus-degree weather outside Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, Turner quipped that she was “sweating out of her ass,” while Appleby said, “My first time here, I was a freshman in college. I came as a seat filler, and so to actually have a ticket in my hand, I don’t care how hot it is!”
As for the 20-year-old Game of Thrones actress’ ideal role? “It would be in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” Turner told Us. “I love that show. … I know Rob [McElhenney] quite well, and I’ve been trying to get him to get me on it, but he won’t.”
Taking a sip from her drink, the English actress jokingly added, “I’d play a drunk in the bar.”
Hoffmann, on the other hand, admitted that she was envious of Sarah Paulson‘s role as famed prosecutor Marcia Clark on The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. “I would never in a million years try to do anything she does because I can’t do it anywhere near as good, but I was a little bit like, ‘Oh, that seems really fun,'” the Emmy-nominated Girls actress, 34, said.
Moments earlier, Appleby, 37, gushed about Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ role in HBO’s Veep, which has earned Louis-Dreyfus seven Primetime Emmy Awards over the years. “She seems to be doing well with that part,” the UnREAL actress joked.
