Nine contestants remain on Dancing With the Stars after four have been eliminated. Last week, Sherri Shepherd faced her untimely departure and another contestant will be sent home Tuesday night.
Musician Gavin DeGraw earned the lowest score on Monday's Latin night with 19/30 from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
DeGraw, 35, admitted his performance with partner Karina Smirnoff was more of a "struggle than a samba." Sniped Goodman, "To be honest with you Gavin, it was more of a shamba than a samba."
But the "I Don't Want to Be" singer started campaigning early to get his fans to vote and even dedicated the performance to them.
Making her return to the dance floor after suffering a mild concussion during last Monday's performance, Melissa Gilbert only earned two more points than DeGraw with 21/30. The Little House on the Prairie star, 47, and her dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the salsa — and Inaba said there was "an element of control that was lacking."
Gladys Knight rounded out the bottom three earning 22/30 points for her samba with partner Tristan MacManus. Tonioli said he loves watching the legendary singer, 67, dance, but Inaba pointed out the soul singer made "a few tiny mistakes."
However, Inaba added, "There's a reason you are the legend that you are."
