Speaking in Korean, Moretz’s character becomes furious when her beau says the wrong thing. So much so, that Moretz throws food in his face and storms off. According to allkpop, the scene was taken from a Korean series called Everybody, Kimchi!
The If I Stay actress posted about her cameo after the show. “Exciting to be the very First American on SNL Live and to speak in only Korean!!!” she captioned a clip of her performance via Instagram. “#Korea #KimchiSlap #NOWOLSAEEE.”
She also posed with some of the cast and gave a shout-out to her fans. “Thank you so much to all my amazing Korean fans and to all the people we met over this trip who welcomed us in and made us feel so connected to your beautiful culture!!” she captioned a second photo. (Days later, Moretz made altogether different headlines when she slammed Kardashian for posting her now seen-around-the-world nude selfie.)
Moretz has yet to host Lorne Michaels‘ NBC variety show in the States.
