It’s a Bachelorette blitz. Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss revealed on Wednesday, March 30, that Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward and other Pittsburgh Steelers players will appear on a group date during JoJo Fletcher‘s season 12 of The Bachelorette.
Fleiss, who’s been updating avid Bachelorette fans on the behind-the-scenes drama of Fletcher’s season, teased the sporty date on Tuesday, March 29.
If JoJo sheds any tears today, she’ll have to wipe them away with a Terrible Towel… #TheBachelorette

Fleiss, of course, was referring to Jordan Rodgers, the younger, football-playing brother of NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers, who’s currently competing on ABC’s series. Us Weekly broke the news earlier this month that Jordan signed on to film the show, and is currently a front-runner among the 25 guys vying for the beautiful brunette’s affection.
“He and JoJo are really hitting it off,” a show source previously told Us.
The Bachelor executive producer also revealed that the date was held in Pittsburgh by divulging what the group ate.
JoJo just downed a Primanti Bros. sandwich. How does she stay so thin and gorgeous? #TheBachelorette

After speculation, Fleiss shared a behind-the-scenes snap from the memorable excursion of Fletcher with current team quarterback Roethlisberger, 34; retired wide receiver Ward, 40; and former defensive end Brett Keisel, 37. All three players won the Super Bowl together in 2009. Ward nabbed the coveted Mirrorball Trophy on season 12 of Dancing With the Stars in 2011.
Fletcher, 25, was the runner-up on Bachelor Ben Higgins’ season, and announced as the new series lead during the After the Final Rose special several weeks ago. Her season of The Bachelorette premieres on ABC on Monday, May 23, at 8 p.m. ET.
