The man who wasn’t there! The Bachelorette‘s JoJo Fletcher headed out on the hometown dates with her four remaining guys in the Monday, July 18, episode, but she ended things in tears after a shocking moment at the rose ceremony — and, of course, Twitter weighed in on every wild moment!
Season-long front-runner Jordan Rodgers had a bumpy time with the Bachelorette in his hometown, as he took her on a tour of his high school (which is a very normal place to go on a date when you’re an adult). Although the pair clicked, a cloud hung over the proceedings in the form of Jordan’s famous older brother, Aaron Rodgers, who had a mysterious fall out with his family and was not a part of the get-together.
Fletcher, 25, kept bringing up the NFL star at every turn, as if she just couldn’t process the fact that she wouldn’t get to hang out with Aaron and girlfriend Olivia Munn anytime soon.
Other buzzy moments included Robby defending himself against rumors about his ex-girlfriend after a heart-to-heart with his mom. There was also a pivotal scene at the very end, as Luke decided that the rose ceremony was the right time to pull Fletcher aside and declare his love for her.
She had already made up her mind to send him home, so his proclamation led her to break down in tears in the airplane hangar. But who doesn’t enjoy a good cry on the tarmac from time to time?
